What flowers can i grow in pots ready for next July?

i am getting maried next July and its on a budget! To save money i thought i could grow the centre pieces for the tables at the reception. i need something that won't look too sparse (no soil on show) and will give me flowers through out July. White is my preferred colour. can anyone give me any advice?

What flowers can i grow in pots ready for next July?
Perennials of course. White coneflowers, daisies, babys breath, white roses, calla lilies, lillium, lily of the valley etc. You could plant some of these now from seeds and maybe buy small plants or bulbs or roots to grown more and bigger plants for next july. Good luck! Nothing wrong with being on a budget.
Reply:Sweet Peas Definately ! they are the easist and one of the most fragrant flowers on tthe market, try the old fashioned type, they have a higher fragrance
Reply:to make sure you have the flowers in July you could sow some of the biennials e.g. bellis(double Daisy) which will be in flower for you at the right time. Other people have answered on other plants although if you wish sweet peas then you should sow some in September and others early next year to give yourself enough of a chance to have them ready on time, if you choose sweet pea then plant a dwarf variety or you will have to cut out the growing tips of the large types. You could grow the sweet peas and pick the flowers for the table the scent is fantastic.
Reply:dont get married then you wont have o worry about it
Reply:If you have a south facing garden, lots of things.

What would you like?

I would have thought it would be better to envisage the bouquet and then ask the gardeners of Yahoo as to how and whether you can get it in the time.
