If a guy brings a girl a flower, like when he's going over to her place, would that seem TOO old fashioned or too cheesy especially if the girl isn't the traditional old-fashioned girl?

I think the best simple gestures have a personal touch, something that is unique to the girl. It shows her that you listen to what she has to say enough to get something thoughtful. This could be as easy as getting her favorite starbucks drink if she loves coffee, any kind of food/treat she's mentioned she likes, or anything that can provoke sentimental feelings.
Reply:I would find out in a conversation (or from her friends) what kind of flowers she likes. Also, I think if you give her, like, roses, that is too conventional. I would get orchids - they are special, and she would definitely see that you think her special too.

Reply:Girls like gifts! It show that you were thinking of them. Flowers, although some look at it like an easy gift and if you bring them all the time, you are basicaly wasting your effort, but every once in a while Flowers are good. For someone that hasn't gotten any in quite a while.Alot of time, unless the gift is really cheesy(and even some girls like that), they will appreciate it, b/c like I said, it shows them that you were thinking of them.
