It looks like a wart frist it started out small now it is getting bigger and it's also starting to open up like a flower what can i do till she get's it removed
Can you show me a picture of what a dogs growths and what happens if i don't get it removed?
Well there is nothing anyone can tell to do for it until you have your vet remove it.
Nothing we show you will be the same either. Your vet will have to remove the growth and then send it off for analysis to see exactly what it is. I wouldn't wait to long to have it taken off especially if it is getting bigger. if your dog scratches it it will bleed something awful and then get infected. The sooner you have it removed the better.
Reply:Get It Removed!
just have it removed and the sooner the better. My dog had a small wart on the top of her head that turned very nasty looking almost overnight and I had it removed
it had cancer cells in it.
Everything was fine ... she was perfectly fine
but I had to keep a watchful eye out for anything different appearing -- but nothing ever came back
as far as doing something before it is removed, do not know where it located, you dont want your dog scratching it or the thing getting ripped off ...
good luck to you ..
Reply:Sounds to me like what we call a button tumor.
Yes they are ugly, but in a lot of cases will go away on their own.
Have your vet check it to be sure it is not cancerous.
As long as it does not impede your dog, don`t worry about spending the money to have it removed. Yes it will take several months but it will go away.
My FCR`s do get them on occasion and only once did I have to get one removed that was on her ear. She was constantly trying to scratch at it, which made it bleed now and then.
If it is benign why put your dog through
unnecessary surgery.
Good Luck
Reply:Here is what can happen:
1. It could just be a harmless cyst or growth that bothers you more than it bothers her.
2. It could be an infected cyst or wart which could get into her blood stream and cause major issues
3. It could be a cancerous legion which will keep spreading.
Either way, it is probably an EXCELLENT idea to go talk to a vet about it. The last thing you want to do is try and save $80 by not going, and your dog ends up having cancer that kills her because you ignored it.
As for pictures-- All growths look different, so you really shouldn't try and diagnose it yourself though a picture.
