When do bannana show flowers?
when they in blossom at different times throughout the World
Reply:South of which Country?
Reply:Don't know where you live but I'm in the warmer part of the uk about zone 6 I think. The banana isn't supposed to fruit/flower here because of the colder climate, but I actually saw one with bananas on last year(it was in a very sheltered spot)

If yours was going to flower, it should have flowered by now. It would take 1-2 years in its native environment.Maybe your climate isn't warm enough??

Just logged on to only UK answers only and noticed your question again so presume you are south england.Had a thought- try some potash on your banana. It will promote flower/fruit growth. And pray for a long hot summer.Thinking back it was'nt last year I saw the bananas, it was the year before, when we had a good summer.
Reply:normally 2 years, but some times it takes about 5 years. do you live in california because the weather is cooler there and bananas grow slower there.

dont rush for flowers too much though because once a banana flowers, the banana dies. fortunately the bananas will have babies to take the place of the mother palnt

maybe if you really want blooms give it some palnt food. also make sure it is in a sunny location
