Is it bad luck for the bridesmaids/flower girls to show their dresses/outfits to the bride or couple?

The bride will need to see the outfits so that they definitely go with her dress and she is happy with them. The groom should be allowed to see the outfits if he wishes. It is only the actually wedding dress that the groom is not allowed to see. Anyone else can see the dresses if the bride permits it.

Hope this helps.

NO

The Bride is supposed to choose the dress, or at least make sure it matches.
Reply:no way is that bad luck. I've always thought that the bride chooses what they wear, just like the rest wedding party.
Reply:no, the bride is the one who's supposed to pick them out! bad luck for the groom to see the bride's dress but it doesn't matter if he sees the other girls' dresses
Reply:No. The bride usually has a say in the dresses.

If you *really* trust your bridesmaid's judgment, though, it might be fun to let them pick out the bridesmaid's dress and surprise you on your wedding day with it. It would be something different!
Reply:the bride is the one who chooses the attire for the wedding party so she would already know what it looks like already
Reply:Yes the bride should see them, actually should have picked them or helped pick them out. Groom, I don't know, I know mine didn't care what anybody else wore, just he and I, well maybe his best man.
Reply:It's the bride that chooses the outfits for the BMs and FGs in the first place. It wouldn't be a very organised wedding if she didn't know what they would be wearing. It's normally just the groom who's not allowed to see the bride's dress before the wedding.
Reply:No it isn't. The bride is the one who chooses the dresses and makes sure they are acceptable and fit in with her dress. Is this a case of a bridesmaid trying to pull a fast one on the bride?
Reply:What? The bride NEEDS to see the bridesmaids outfits before the wedding to make sure she is happy with them, and after all, she should have chosen them in the first place, as if the bridesmaids just get to choose whatever they want without the bride's OK!?
Reply:No. The bride should know what they look like in order to approve or veto any of them, if she has allowed them to pick their own dresses. In most cases though, the bride picks them out herself. The groom usually doesn't care either way.
