Flower got bit on the head by a snake. She was protecting her last litter of pups and the snake had went into the burrow. It was so sad!!! I will miss Flower greatly. She was my favorite. As for Zaphod, he is leaving the wiskers because he cannot mate with Rocketdog as she is the new dominate female and she is his daughter. I hope this answers your question. =)
What happened to Flower on the show "Meerkat Manor" and why has Zaphod left the Whiskers?
I believe the meerkat was bitten by a cobra and died...thats what the news said....

Reply:Flower was killed by a snake who had entered their burrow. This is after they took in the baby meerkat from the other...um tribe? She bravely went in first because they knew the snake was there. It bit her on the head. She left the burrow and went quite a ways away to die away from her fellow meerkats.
Reply:Zaphod left because he couldn't breed with the new leader Rocketdog, since she was his daughter, or any of the other Whiskers, since they are all his offspring, in that same episode he actually went off and got some action with one of the females in the Zappa family, but was caught in the act and ran off by the rest of the Zappa
