When did people started using flowers to show love/affection for their gf/bf or even loved ones?

I don't know but they are appropriate for funerals and have the same meaning of love as a 99 cent hallmark card,it's all superficial meaningless crap,


the only way flowers are special is if the person picked out the flowers for a unique arrangement not the ones for two bucks on the corner,and they are given for absolutely no other reason than to show appreciation or affection meaning not on a holiday ,birthday or after a fight

Reply:The oldest possible evidence of flowers used in a human ritual is in Shanidar cave in Iraq. The Shanadir IV burial site of about 60000 BC has turned up flower pollen which shows that flowers were present.
Reply:I don't know. Maybe like really early in time becuase of their beauty, and probably a lot during the time when the Victorian "Language of Flowers" was created.
