Inexpensive Garden Options To Show House for Sale?

We are looking to move this Spring/Summer. I want to plant so it looks good for our house showing but don't want to put that much money into it. I would like to save for planting at our new house. Any ideas on inexpensive but attractive flowers to plant would be appreciated.

I would buy the plants that you like, and want to take to your new home, sink them in the beds, in their pots, and then lift them and take them with you when you move - making sure that the buyer knows you intend to take them with you when you move, of course!!

Good luck!

Reply:I am a landscape designer retired, however, where do you live, what is there already, and what is the facing/sun? I am at gjgjobs@yahoo.com. I will answer your question within 24 hrs. with this kind of info. Good Luck.
Reply:I ran into the same thing when selling our home in the spring. I bought the plants, shrubs, etc. that I liked and put them in large terra cotta planters. Honestly, 4 large planters were more than enough to give my patio and yard the "bang" I was hoping for. Other smaller flowers I put in pretty pots and scattered about. When we had serious buyer inquire, I simply said anything in pots left with me. The buyer seemed to think that was reasonable.

It was super to move into our new home in July and have "instant" gardens when I moved the pots. I have since planted the shrubs in our new yard and am happy with what I did. Hope this helps you!
