Have you guys seen the flower comercial. im talking about flower by kenzo?
when they show the flower comercial(flower by kenzo) they usually play a song. whats the name of that song and who sings it?
Have you guys seen the flower comercial. im talking about flower by kenzo?
I'm not positive but your song is a jingle and most likely a voice from a Vocalist pool , brought in to sing the jingle.....jusy like Barry Manilow but he wrote many of them too !

Why is my plant dying?
I have a stargazer lilly that I grew from a bulb. It's been growing for a few months and now it has a flower. The problem is that ever since the flower showed up, the leaves and stem are turning brown. The flower bloomed for two days before it started wilting.
I'm new at growing things. Any suggestions?
Why is my plant dying?
could be one of a dozen things. Biggest killer of house plants is kindness. Sling it, they are not expensive, and get another one.
Reply:Most lillies don't have a long flowering period. I don't have that particular lilly in my garden but I have daylillies (each flower lasts only one day) and Asiatic lillies (flowers last only a few days). Check with a local nursery to make sure there's actually a problem as this could be the normal bloom period. The foliage of all lillies, except daylillies, turns yellow after flowering. Cut the stems back when completely yellow.
Here's some tips for plants in general: Don't overwater your garden--a good soaking once a week is plenty for most plants. Too much water can actually rot plants, bulbs in particular. Not enough water can be a problem also. Lillies, like other plants, can get stressed if the weather is too hot.
All bulbs and other plants like a feeding of of fertilizer or bonemeal in the spring. Just sprinkle a little bonemeal around bulbs in he spring and they'll thank you for it. I like to add a bit of fertilizer in the fall but you can add it in the spring also. Bonemeal is fine for most perennials as well.
There are lots of resources for new gardeners. The internet is great. I like the site veseys.ca. You can order plants plus there's a gardener's forum and planting guides online.
One last thing, I like to plant lilly bulbs between other plants that bloom after the lillies because the foliage of the plants hides the yellowing foliage of the lillies.
Reply:Cone is correct. To make the bloom last longer remove the stamens and pistil, prevents fertilization. flowers' job is to make seeds, once fertilized their blooms are done, flower fades, nutrients go to maturing seeds, foliage feeds the bulb, then dies. My asiatic lillie's blooms have lasted over a week and more are opening. cool.
Reply:Once lilies bloom they start to die off. They are beautiful flowers and I LOVE them, but the flowers only last so long and then the plant starts to die off for the year. Unless it wasn't getting water or is root bound, I wouldn't worry about it. It will return next year bigger and better than it was this year with a lot more blooms (if it is planted in the ground).
Reply:If it is in a pot it could be root bound. Or it could need feeding. Or it could be getting to much or to little sunlight.
If it is in the ground maybe you have something eating the roots. Maybe to close to a brick wall and hot sun off the wall.
Reply:Maybe you are not watering it enough or it does not have enough sun light. But it could also be sick, yes it seems funny but plants do get sick. Also, it be that it was planted in the wrong season, you should check if it is the right time.
Reply:Sounds to me like your overwatering it.
Reply:make sure you're not over-watering it.

How can I make this flower arrangement? HELP?
I was watching a wedding show, and saw a floral arrangment simmilar to this...
http://www.timelessmomentz.com/Floating_...
How do i get floating candles like that?
and do i just use water?
Can I use any type of flower?
Thanks =]
How can I make this flower arrangement? HELP?
You can get floating candles anywhere. Less than $2 a piece. Try google search "Floating candles."
You just use water.
You can't use any kind of flowers. The petals have to be firm. Soft petals won't hold their original shape when they are submerged into the water. The one you see in the picture is called "Mokara Orchid." Either this one, or you can use Dendrobium Orchid (cheaper) or Cymbidium Orchid (expensive).
Don't use silk. They are too soft; besides, they are too buoyant.
Reply:i don't know if that is water or a special oil. i have seen both. you can buy floating candles almost anywhere. you could use whatever type flower you wanted, silk would last a long time.
http://i.ivillage.com/HH/slideshows/Spri...
Reply:I would recommend silk flowers because not all flowers do well submerged in water like that for long periods of time. All you need is the floating candles and the glass votive which are cheap. Any craft store would have them but i would try and find them online.

Please tell me how much a tiny flower tattoo is going to hurt because I go at 2:00 so help me?
In a personal area that won't show when I am old and tired of WAXING???
Please tell me how much a tiny flower tattoo is going to hurt because I go at 2:00 so help me?
i have a pretty pink flower on my foot. i bet it hurt more then your area. tattoos are nothing to me though. its really up to yor pain tolerance. mine didnt hurt but my friend who got a tattoo on the same place and the same size was in agony. so really its all in the individual. my advice eat some chocolate or something with sugar and bring a drink with you. it will give you endorphants that will help you through the tattoo. good luck i bet you will love it afterwards! oh and ps get the bloody tattoo wherever u want it, that is waht makes it unique. i have random tattoos in random places. who the hell cares!
Reply:Tattoos do hurt; it's not like a "I want to cry it hurt so much" pain, but more like a "an annoying pain that i just want to smack it off" pain. To me it's kind of like a nail dragging across your skin while being on a scab. While I was getting one; I had to biggest urge just to slap away the tattoo gun and rub the area.
If it's just a small tattoo it will only be like maybe a half an hour of nail dragging; depending if you move around a lot of not. :)
Reply:it'll hurt to some degree but the pain is never as bad as people make it. I got a tat on the top of my foot and it was the worse pain I have ever experienced but at the same time it was bearable. IF your tattoo artist is skilled and the flower is indeed small. It'll only take him about 15-20 minutes. Good luck!!!!
Reply:lol i would NOT tattoo that aera, but i guess we all have our preferences.. pain.. well we all have adifferent tolerance to it, but i guess since a neddle is going to be poking into your skin, about 1/8" deep it is bound to hurt a little. why people so afraid of the pain ??
no pain, no gain..
Reply:You have obviously talked this through with your artist..
It's like having a two inch needle scraping against your skin over and over and over.
Ouch. Good luck getting a tattoo on your vagina.
Reply:well yea that's going to hurt , but more of a burning pain than any thing just go for it and close you're eyes and try to think good thoughts and just relax
Reply:Everyone has a diff tolerance of pain. I didnt think any of my tattoos hurt. It feels like when you do "indian burns" on your arms. I dont think tats hurt but thats just me. Everyone is different
Reply:Just depends on the person and how much fatty tissue is there. If you have some cushion there it shouldn't hurt that bad at all.
Reply:I think it more annoying than painful-TOTALLY what Rinoa said
Reply:You've already decided to get the tattoo anyway, so I guess you'll find out at 2:00. What does it matter what we tell you?

What would happen if i drank a vase filled with flower food and water in it?
would that be bad? and how to get over the fear of WOOD? and showing my tattoos? on girls?
What would happen if i drank a vase filled with flower food and water in it?
Ok, here are the answers to all your q's in order...
Might make you sick, but it shouldn't kill you...
Probably wouldn't be good, but not the end of the world either...
Fear of wood? Like trees wood or like morning wood wood? Either way, try to ease into your fears, confront them, soon you will own the wood!
Your tattoos...Are you afraid of showing them? Why? Are they bad? Why did you get tattoos if they are bad? Show em off anyway, or get em removed...your choice.
On girls? Your tattoos are on girls? How did you manage to get your tattoos on girls? In any case, before you tattoo anyone, make sure you get their permission.
Hope this helps :-)
Reply:Uhhh...I'm not even sure about what you're asking. Nothing would happen if you swallowed plant food and water...that's like children being afraid that if they swallow a watermelon seed, one will grow in their stomach and they'll explode. Why would you be afraid of wood? To overcome that fear you'd have to know the "root" of your fear. I don't understand what you're asking about tattoos and girls.
Reply:put some seeds in and shine a light down your throat and youll have a plant growing in your stomach!!!!!!!!
Reply:Are not sure where question came from. In most of the Third World you would be smart to save the flowers because in a few days they will look nice atop your grave. Where water is
usually potable the stunt might be good for the twisted 2-step which is far as you'll get from a stinking toilet for at least
a couple days although my wife was messy to be around for three years once. USA water is probably cleanest in NYC
and untreated water elsewhere is not without health risk.
Reply:everybody will think your stupid!
what's your purpose of having a tattoo..isn't it for showing? go on show them, i think some girls would like it.

How well does the color white show up in a tattoo?
I was thinking of getting a gardenia flower tattoo as a memorial to my g-ma ... but the flower has white petals and I don't know how well it will last. I have fairly medium toned skin - definately not pale but not too bronze either. I know tatts fade a lil over time, but how well do you think the white would remain? THANKS
How well does the color white show up in a tattoo?
A section of my tattoo design was white and the first thing my artist said to me was it isn't going to show up well. It was important to me that the section remain white so we discussed how it could be done. He ended up doing the section white, but used a lot of light shades of gray around it %26amp; on it to give it depth and make it visable. So it's white, but not really a pure white. It looks great.
I'm not sure if the same shading would work well for your gardenia as it might make it look like it's wilting or dead.
Best suggestion would be to go talk to an artist about it. They would be able to tell you the pros %26amp; cons and whether it would show up well on your skin based on your skin color.
Reply:if you have a lighter complexion..it probably won't show up that well. White is mostly used for shading purposes.
Reply:White ink is mainly used for highlighting only. If you get a large area done in white, it will typically turn yellow-ish with age - usually within 2-3 years. Maybe do the flower in black %26amp; gray - you can get the detail in without worrying about the white issue.
Reply:i have a white outline around the black on my tattoo.. it shows up due to the contrast..
i'm not sure how well it would show up on it's own though..
Reply:it doesnt
Reply:white is usually used to make other colours pop out more
Reply:i disagree, my husband is pretty pastey white and has white in his tat, think about it, your skin is way more pink than white
Reply:Tattoo artists love me, as I have the lightest skin you have ever seen. I had a tattoo done 10 years ago that had white in it, and you can still see it, but in many cases they skip the white unless it is for shading on top of another color.
Reply:white is a hard color to work with generally. I'm really pale and the white just fades into my skin tone. i think if you were medium skinned it would probably show up decently.
Reply:Depends on your pigment I would say - haven't seen it much.
Reply:Think of a tattoo design like a woodblock print. "White" is the negative space.
Reply:I have blue and white wings on my feet and though you can see the white it is very faint. It faded far more dramatically after healing than the blue did. I really like the subtleness of the white in comparison to other colors. However, with a larger expanse of white I'm not sure what the end result would really look like. I would suggest going to a shop and telling them what you want to gain suggestions and further your idea.

Other than cacti, what is the easiest flower or plant to grow?
I don't have a green thumb, but love the look of plants outside and inside. Any suggestions. If possible can you provide a link that shows how the plant looks
Other than cacti, what is the easiest flower or plant to grow?
indoors - peace lily
outdoors - viburnum
Reply:If you want something to come back every year, go with perennials, tulips, daffodils, iris's, all super easy and come in a variety of colors.
Reply:Dandlions are the easiest to grow and make excellent wine when harvested.
Any of the popular annuals are easy, too.
Snapdragons;
Petunias;
buttercups;
marigolds;
jump-up-and-kiss-me;
just use Google images on your own computer for pics of each.

If flowers show up for no apparent reason..?
If a guy sends you flowers, and it is not a birthday, an anniversary, Valentines Day, or Mothers Day--- what is your FIRST thought? Is it simply sweet? Or does your mind wander to "What the hell did he just do?"
If flowers show up for no apparent reason..?
Honestly, when you get older, flowers on a day that means nothing is a very very romantice gesture. Yes, women will always think "what has he been doing?" because that is what we have been taught by the media, but deep down, we LOVE it.
When you receive flowers on V-day, birthdays, etc, we know we are going to get them. The surprise on those days is, if we don't get them :)
I say simply sweet! I LOVE THAT!!!
Reply:oh how romantic!I love a guy like that.
Reply:he must feel guilty about something he did.
Reply:yeh for sure because in this day and age u don't get flowers just because someone is thinking about ya. u get flowers for thx for last night or something like that.
Reply:A simple note expressing your feelings will eliminate her 'what the hell did he just do' thought.
Reply:My initial reaction is a big smile! I love to get flowers for no special reason. Maybe I am too trusting but unless I have reason to believe something is wrong I don't suspect a thing. Too, many guys give flowers as an apology and have ruined everything for us flower lovin gals.
Reply:I think that if I wasn't dating the guy, random roses would be a little awkward. Something more friendly, but sweet like daisies or lillies would fit the situation better. But, that's just my opinion. I can't speak for all the other girls out there.
Sweet guy, though.
Reply:well, i would think it was a mistake because no one would send me flowers even if it was an event
Reply:IS THESE FLOWERS FROM SOMEONE YOU KNOW? DATING?
NOT ALL GUYS HAVE A MOTIVE. SOME ARE JUST SWEET. THERE RARE. IF YOUR ONE OF THOSE GUYS. DON'T CHANGE.
THAN AGAIN IF THERE FROM SOMEONE YOU DON'T KNOW. HE MAY BE A STOCKER.
Reply:simply a gesture of love.....(then what the fuc* has he been doing )
Reply:Wouldn't know! My husband forgets birthdays, anniversaries, Mother's Day etc.
Reply:i would say sweet but is this like a stalker type deal or you know this person personally and you're interested????
Reply:Depends on the kind of flowers and the type of relationship. My husband brought home pink roses to me last night on an evening grocery store run. This was sweet, and if they open and smell sweet I know they were out of love. My grandmother said that if roses are given and don't open, they are guilt flowers for a sin. Flowers are very sensitive forces of nature.

I found a mutated daisey today and i dont know if i should show or tell someone?
it looked lik three daisies in one. it had one thick flat stem instead of a round one and the flower looked as though it had three heads in one. cant explain it very well, but should i just throw it out or would someone in the horticultural industry be excited by this? if so what do i do? no daft answers please this is actually a serious question. and yes i will report for point gaming.

So far your answers have been daft!
I really don't know, but I would get on line and find someone that might be interested. Take some pictures of different angles. Also if you have any horticulturists in your area check that out. Then check out the garden centers. I know that in the animal kingdom they have physical and mental challenges the same as us humans, so why not plants.

Types of mutations and their effects
http://www.talkorigins.org/faqs/mutation...
Mutations are changes in the genome (genetic constitution). There are quite a number of ways in which mutations can happen. They also differ in the way that they impact evolution.
In many groups of species, particularly among plants, genes are transferred from to one species to another via hybrids.

Reply:Plants mutate all the time and whilst this may not be of interest to many people, some others could find this fascinating - particularly schools and colleges teaching botany or genetics. I would carefully pick the flower and as much of the surrounding foliage as possible, place it carefully between 2 sheets of newspaper and place a few heavy books on top until the flower is pressed - that way it will be preserved for those who are interested in it. I'd contact the nearest botanical gardens or academic institute to see if anyone wants to see this.
Reply:See if you have a state Aboretum and contact someone there to find out if it is of any interest. If there are no environmental factors involved then it could be, but I don't know.

I don't think so. Just because you have not seen one before, it doesn't mean its unusual.

Where can i find a fake wedding cake to rent? You know the cakes you see at bridal shows or flower shops??
You can D-I-Y.. all you need are some foam and iceings and ribbons or other decorations to decorate a cake.

Where can i find a fake wedding cake to rent? You know the cakes you see at bridal shows or flower shops??
Ask at any wedding supply store. If they don't rent the cake themselves, they'll be able to direct you to someone who does rentals.
I know renting *sounds* a bit odd, but it is very practical. When I married back in 1979, my Mom baked the fruit cake. We cut it up ahead of time and wrapped the pieces in Saran Wrap, added a doily, a ribbon and a little thank you note. Rather than fiddle around during the ceremony hacking up some cake, we just handed out the pre-wrapped pieces. Worked great!
Reply:Why not contact the bakeries and flower shops in your area that have these display cakes and ask if you can rent one of theirs since it's only for a couple of days?
They usually have so many I'm sure you could find a place that would like a little extra cash for something they aren't doing anything with and will get right back.
Good Luck!
Reply:the display ones are foam. why don't you buy the foam and make your own with sheet icing and a few flowers.

What would cause a man show no compassion for his lady?
Ladies! Have you been here? What am I to do?
I have been depressed for a long time and warned my man in the beginning that I wasn't ready to have a relationship. I just got out of a 4 1/2yr relationship and I told him I was too needy. He had a crush on me for 2 years before we dated and we have been together over a year now. He disregarded my warning and now hates when I get needy for his attention. On V-day he was away on a business trip and because he procrastinated he ordered flowers the day before. They never got to me. He knows I don't like flowers because they are played out. I asked him why flowers anyway? He said "Because I knew I procrastinated and It was all I could do!" He says he loves me but I don't see it. Am I confused?
What would cause a man show no compassion for his lady?
I think until you take that time to get yourself better, you are never going to be happy in a relationship. You were trying to do that when he wanted to go ahead anyway and have the relationship without any regard for what you needed. That is not very considerate. He was being very selfish and you were still too weak to have the relationship which is now having its effect on things. I suggest that you think this through carefully, and consider doing what you need to do for YOU now. If you need to take that time and get yourself strong, do it. Don't ask him, explain to him that it is your decision, it is something you must do, and that is that. You really need to finish taking care of YOU. It is not going to be easy. Try to get some counseling to help you through this very difficult time, because you may need it. Good luck and my prayers are with you.
Reply:I think you should have accepted the flowers graciously. At least he sent something and made an effort. You know you have a problem with being needy and depression. When those feelings come over you why not sometimes try to comfort yourself by taking a bubble bath or doing something special to make yourself feel better. It's not healthy to always look to your partner to fix the way you feel. It's a lot of pressure on the other person. Choose your battles wisely and don't let the little things mess with you. It sounds like he is trying to make you happy. Be thankful for the things he does and talk to him about the things you feel you still need that he is not providing for you. Other people cannot make us happy inside or with ourselves. They can bring us moments of happiness or comfort, but you must try to find true happiness within yourself.
Reply:Wait until you get over the valentines mess up before you make any decisions on your relationship. Maybe you will see things in a different light. If not, you know what to do. You done it before.

Reply:Sista, you have to be fair. Yes, you told him that you were needy, but you continued in the relationship knowing that you were not totally healed from the last one, you know what?, you have to be honest with yourself, be fair to yourself and him, YOU need healing and you are not going to find it in another relationship, you got to get yourself by yourself and have a little talk. You didn't give yourself any healing time and so you know what?, No matter what this guy do for you, you are not going to be pleased because he is not the one you are trying to get over and you know what, Sis, he would do anything just to try and please you, but it won't be enough, because vessels with cracks in them can never be satisfied because everything you put in it will just run out. My Sista, hurt people will Hurt People, not meaning to, but if you have not been healed, you really don't have anything to give, only take and being in a relationship, you've got to be able to give even if nothing is given back and right now, you're not there, yet. Girl, get your healing so you can enjoy what this Man is trying to give you, ....LOVE. Heal the Hurt, Sista.

How do you make a rose or flower out of a dollar bill?
A friend of mine showed me a rose that was given to him that was made out of a dollar bill, could use any other bills but this one was from a dollar. It even had the stem (short but it was a stem) and a leaf. Could have been made using more than one bill, but he said that he watched it being made and they only used one bill.He has no clue has to how they did it, he said that they did it pretty fast. But he was drinking and playing pool at the time, so I'm sure that time just got away from him.

Inexpensive Garden Options To Show House for Sale?
We are looking to move this Spring/Summer. I want to plant so it looks good for our house showing but don't want to put that much money into it. I would like to save for planting at our new house. Any ideas on inexpensive but attractive flowers to plant would be appreciated.
Inexpensive Garden Options To Show House for Sale?
I would buy the plants that you like, and want to take to your new home, sink them in the beds, in their pots, and then lift them and take them with you when you move - making sure that the buyer knows you intend to take them with you when you move, of course!!
Good luck!

Reply:I am a landscape designer retired, however, where do you live, what is there already, and what is the facing/sun? I am at gjgjobs@yahoo.com. I will answer your question within 24 hrs. with this kind of info. Good Luck.
Reply:I ran into the same thing when selling our home in the spring. I bought the plants, shrubs, etc. that I liked and put them in large terra cotta planters. Honestly, 4 large planters were more than enough to give my patio and yard the "bang" I was hoping for. Other smaller flowers I put in pretty pots and scattered about. When we had serious buyer inquire, I simply said anything in pots left with me. The buyer seemed to think that was reasonable.
It was super to move into our new home in July and have "instant" gardens when I moved the pots. I have since planted the shrubs in our new yard and am happy with what I did. Hope this helps you!

I believe all the colours would look great on you.
Just make sure they use bright shades, since your skin tone is so dark.

I saw a tool on a DIY show that removed the grass from a yard in a roll. What is this machine called?
It was for landscaping a yard and was used to make flower beds.
I saw a tool on a DIY show that removed the grass from a yard in a roll. What is this machine called?
It is a sod removal machine. It cuts the dirt under the grass roots and rolls it up. Be prepared for some heavy lifting if you don't stop often to remove what is rolled up. Sod companies use this to harvest sod and then cut it into pieces for laying at another location.
Reply:You could also use a "sod kicker", sod cutter

When Will Be The Best Time To Visit Floriade In Canberra?
I want to visit Floriade in Canberra and see the spectacular flower show there and i was wondering when will be a good time to visit it?
I plan to visit it in the 2 week holidays.
any suggestions?
When Will Be The Best Time To Visit Floriade In Canberra?
Visiting Floriade
Experience the Australian story told through spectacular flower beds at Floriade 2007 - Aussie icons, myths %26amp; legends !
There is something for everyone, from entertainment and live music, to food, wine and horticultural activities.
Floriade runs from mid September to mid October every year and is presented in the splendid grounds of Commonwealth Park on the shores of Lake Burley Griffin.
Floriade Dates
15 September to 14 October 2007
13 September to 12 October 2008
Opening Hours
Monday to Friday 9.00am–5.00pm
Weekends and Public Holidays 8.00am–6.00pm
Last entry to the event 30 minutes before closing.
Admission
Entry to Floriade is free.
Reply:The best time is when it is open of course! Mid September to mid October.
It is busy virtually all the time at Floriade. It is slightly better to go during the weekdays as the weekend will be very crowded (still crowded during the week anyway - but not as bad a the weekend)
Get there as early as you can. Many people even get there and wait for the gate to open in the morning - thus avoid the crowd.
If you are planning to take lots of photographs then plan well and stay the whole day if you can. Good light for photos early and late in the day as direct overhead sun is not that good for photos of flowers (but you probably know this already) and the crowd basically won't allow you that much opportunities during the most part of the day anyway.
Have a good trip.
Who knows? You might even walk right past me one day over there.
I am an amateur photographer and have been to Floriade regularly the past four years. I live in region nearby.
Reply:At the beginning. After that some of the flowers start to wilt as they don't have the constant shade and stuff they give them before presenting them to the public. Also there is more other stuff going on.
Reply:In my experience the best time is a week to ten days after the show first opens. Right at the beginning some flowers might not have opened. Close to the end the place is beginning to get rather worn. First day this year is 15 September so think about the 22nd to the 25th for your visit. A few days after this are good too. Plan to spend at least five or six hours, there is a fair bit to see and plenty of things to clean the wallet out. Generally good coffee and tea, decent light meals and some free entertainment as well. Monday is probably the pick of the days, Canberra and surrounding towns are at work and there will be fewer people there. Wear a hat, good shoes and a light jacket.
Reply:Jump online and check out the itinerary for Floriade and pick from there. During the week means less crowding but there's more happening during the weekends. Have fun :)

how do i price my crafts? do i have to charge tax when i sell a craft item?if i do how do i go about doing it?is there any paticular craft fair thats ecspecially good to sell my crafts at?what kind of crafts sell good?(decorative pots, candles, flower arrangements, wreaths, etc.what about selling over the internet or e-bay.
I am making crafts at home do i need a business license to take my crafts to a craft show and sell them.?
First i think it depends on where you are located and the craft show you are attending though it does sound like you want to sort of start a craft business so it follows that you could register your business and just start off small as a home based business search on the internet on how to register your business and also visit a tax consultant and your local chamber of commerce. They will have listings for shows and will also advice you about registering your business because even if you do decide to go the ebay way or a website eventually you may have a fully fledged business.
Wishing you success

My science teacher has a brain hemorrhage, and she is my favorite teacher. What can I do to show that I care?
I go to a Christian school, so it's important that it shows her how to realize that God is with her. My parents won't let me buy anything (flowers, cards, etc) I'm thinking of making a homemade card, but what else can I do?

although it may not seem like it, the card and your presence will help her tremendously.Let her know you are praying for her.Don't stop visiting, continue too. Ask if there is any thing she needs/wants that you can do.
Reply:Good for you sweetie, nice to see a young person can focus on someone other than themselves. They obviously are teaching you the right stuff @ your school. This is a very traumatic time for your teacher and right now her aim is to get through this situation. Yes a homemade card would be just great telling her you miss her and want to see her back @ your class and that you will be lifting her before the Lord each day in prayer. You don't have to do much more than that as that would touch her heart knowing you care and are there for her..................don't ever lose you heart of compassion the Lord will bless you for it. Cheers!
Reply:You could start up a fund for her to get the medical treatment she needs and make a big card and get alot of students to sign it
Reply:It's great that you want do something for her. Praying for her and making a home made card telling her how she has helped you as a teacher would probably be very appreciated. It's probably more than most people would do. If you're allowed to visit her, do so. Sometimes expressing your appreciation for someone is better than spending money on them. If she needs help around the house (if she doesn't all ready have help), offer to help or even just spend time with her if you're allowed to. It's the little things that make people feel better, as well as treating her as normally as possible because sick people hate being reminded that she's sick.
Reply:A nice card expressing your concern will go a long way. I keep all my cards from my students - they are so precious!

What do you guys think about this type of flower arrangement colors I plan to send to my gf at work?
I been dating my gf for close to 2 months and Its my first ever pay check from work and I am planning to spend it all on the most important people to me... One of them being my gf. I plan on sending her flowers at work since she knows that I have never gave anyone gifts and It will be my first.... So I have come up with the following arrangements...
6 white roses - showing that I care
5 yellow roses - signifying friendship
1 red rose - love
Purpose is that I want her to know that I care of her and will be there for her; with the friendship and trust that we have, love will surely come.... This kind of summarizes what our relationship is currently like.
I want to write her about the meanings of the colors but I am not sure how to come about it... She is a simple girl and I dont know if I should just explain to her through a poem or directly tell her in writing.
What do you guys think about this arrangement and idea?

um ohmygosh i want a bf who does that
poem is really romantic and cute
ohmygosh MARRY ME
jkjkj you have a gf and she is really lucky i wish u could teach a few things to the guys at my school
Reply:spend your whole first pay check ? i think she would like one rose better.
your idea is good, if you could afford it. you might make her feel bad for spending so much.
and to all the women who are wishing their boyfriend will do this, we dont do it after about the age of 18 because we learn fast that women will not date a guy who does it. they always leave us for the guy that never buys flowers, so we stop buying them so we can get a date.
want a guy to think of you? stop dating losers.
Reply:Yes, your flower arrangement is great = ) Not only is it sweet and creative, but it's also very appropriate. Considering the fact that you two are still really fresh into the relationship, it seems right to have more of the white %26amp; yellow roses.
A poem would be nice and sweet. Personally, I'd like this better, because it shows that you've put in a little more effort. Some girls find poems corny, but when written with the right words, a poem can make most girls feel extremely special. Then again, I am not your girlfriend... Ha, ha, ha!
But, just go for it! It's extremely sweet! You'd be surprised at how many guys DON'T do these sort of things for their girlfriends! GOOD LUCK!
Reply:Honestly if you put that much time and effort into that she'll love it. Guys really don't think about things that much. At least ones I've dated. She'll really appreciate that you put a lot of thought into it.
Reply:it is ok .... and well known facts ......
if u have her pic, then u can make it animated alongwith ur pic, recording the audio as " i like u , i care u, and i love u, and i want u in my life for ever ... "
as soon as she opens this animated file, she listens these words from ur lips and looks at u in the animation ....
u may send it by mail ....
Reply:Call me a wet blanket, but I agree with the person mentioning the amount you spend .. the amount you spend means nothing compared to the thought you have put into this gift. While blowing everything on her is romantic in its extravagance, please let me suggest the following ..
Open a savings account with part of your check and add to it every check thereafter showing you're a man who thinks abut the future .. a future that could include your wonderful girlfriend. Buy the flowers, but get them at a grocery or even a walmart/kmart store. You can get 3 bouquets of 18 roses for $9 each or $27 total .. give them to her in person, perhaps during a dinner out and explain to her the meaning of the colours in your own words while looking into her eyes. BELIEVE me she will remember that much more than if you blew a load of cash and had them sent to her work.
Reply:1st thing u need to know what is her favorite colors. If u dunno, then probably you need to play it safe by not getting any flowers that are overwhelming becoz....... it is a work place after all and you do not want her to be totally embarassed.
Light colors roses will be great. Avoid striking colors. Keep it romantic by wrapping with baby wreath.
Keep your words simple in describing your love since you said she is a simple gal. Be direct with the truth and keep it short so she can remember those 1st few words of expressing your love to her.
God bless!

How about black and red? Kind of Gothic =) but could be artsy.

Maybe an unexpected black rose in there somewhere.

Has any 1 heard of this flower? Grape Hyacinths??
there little purple flowers that look like grapes?
http://www.mooseyscountrygarden.com/chel...
does anyone no if they have a spray or perfume that smell something like that?
Has any 1 heard of this flower? Grape Hyacinths??
They are called "Muscari." Even though the common name says Grape "Hyacinth", Muscari is not a Hyacinth.
Muscari cutflower is not common in the US, but available from Dutch market. They are tiny, about 8". They have no scent.
Reply:There are several perfumes that have hyacinth in them. You can do a search on the following link for 'top notes' of a perfume.
http://www.perfume.com/display_scent.php...
You can also do a search for 'hyacinth perfume.'
While not every hyacinth is the same scent as a grape hyacinth, some are very similar.
I know that The Body Shop used to carry a hyacinth oil, but I don't know that they still do. Some health and natural shops have it.
Reply:I don't know about Grape Hyacinths, but try this link.

If you scroll down a bit, there will be a fragrance which had hints of white hyacinth petals in it.
Hope this helped.

How can I help my potted flower seeds grow better?
I didnt use potting mix, just dirt, and I used some miracle gro fertilizer. Its still a bit cold and I'm not sure exatly where to put them to get good sun. Right now im keeping them inside at night and putting them out in the day. How often show I water them? and how much sunlight do they need? Also if I put them inside by a window will they recieve adequate sunlight? They're supposed to gestate in 7-14 days, what exactly does that mean? And how can I get them to grow bigger, better and faster?
How can I help my potted flower seeds grow better?
If you used miracle grow fertalizer then the dirt should be fine as potting mix is usually just opsoil and fertilizer. Be sure not to over fertalize as you will burn the seedlings up and they will die.
You should water them and then wait until the soil is only slightly damp and water them again. Depending on the temp and weather conditions it may be anywhere from a day to a week.
They need direct sunlight for a least a few hours a day, so if you put them outside or in a sunny window they will be fine. I grew mine like that.
Gestate means that the seed will sprout and the seedling will come up in 7-14 days. When they come up let them grow in the pot they are in until the get pretty big and and stems are very strong. Then transfer them to a bigger pot or seperate them into several smaller or the same size pots and let the roots develop.
You will need to get them used to the outside temp so when they sprout and have grown for awhile then leave them outside more and more each day.
If they do not seem to be sprouting in the right amount of time then you may have to take a thin layer of plastic, like a plastic baggie, and put over the pot. Then put a rubber band around it so it will hold in some heat, humidity, and moisture.
Good luck.
Reply:Keep the seedlings relatively warm. If you have a grow light, that's really perfect. On a windowsil they could get a draft, especially at night, so move them, if you can to the top of the fridge where they will stay warm, then put them back in the sun the next day. Also, don't let them dry out, but don't let them sit in water either. This will dampen off the stem in a lot of cases and you'll lose the seedlings.
Reply:there are many kind of potted plants, the sun loving and shade loving, u dont mention what is the potted plant u have but base on our experience u should use slow release fertilizer, and try to water it when the soil is dry to touch, u are right by keeping it inside at night because of the cold but the plant also need to acclimatized to its surroundings, try to identify ur plant whether its for indoor or outdoor but keeping it out of the window will help it in processing it food, (sunlight and co2 they need). gestatiton means the time to adjust to grow, maybe it is a newly transferred plant to a pot, u should bought the one who grow in the pot to eleminate stresses when transplanting

How do I start a flower garden?
I live in rural North Central Florida, and have five acres of land but I want to know how its done in a suburban or urban backyard because five acres is way too much for the show.
How do I start a flower garden?
You have a couple of options.
You can always (in an urban way) create separate flower beds - please don't make them square, make them "organic" in shape - they will be much more pleasing. Then plant your plants keeping those with similar shade/water needs together.
Alternatively, you can make flower pots. Go to your local nursery and see how they have combined flowers. Experiment.
The pots are moveable and easy to water.
After you try some, you may want to take a few digital pics so that you can repeat the experience next year.
Also, if you do pots, combine some green only plants with color plants. You will like the result.
Reply:I use native (to north florida )wildflower seeds , less maintennance and water

What program can I use to design a room to show changes (example adding flowers, decorations, etc.?
I am considering starting my own business. One of the services I want to offer is to show how a room can be transformed like a before and after (i.e. a room for a wedding). I am trying to find the best program so that I can customize the room and show to the customer.
What program can I use to design a room to show changes (example adding flowers, decorations, etc.?
I would say it will depends on your design dimension and your skills.
1. Adobe Photoshop CS 2
Great for beginners, but difficult to be used in 3D dimension, changes (flowers, decorations) can be easily added and removed (using layer system)
2. AutoCAD
A bit difficult to use, great 3D experience, have wide range of materials and lightning system, can also render the image.
3. 3DS MAX
A very difficult, but powerful.
Choice is yours, but I recommend AutoCAD.

Where can I find the black & white "Flower power" photos from the 1960's?
I am an appreciater of photography and while watching a show about the "drug years" of the 1960's %26amp; 70's on VH1 some black %26amp; white pictures were shown. In these pictures "Hippies" were placing flowers in the barrells of soldiers guns. Does anyone know where I can find these photos for purchase or a name I can use for reference?
Where can I find the black %26amp; white "Flower power" photos from the 1960's?
The picture your talking about was turned into classic poster that said a lot about Kent State Shooting. I asked question on posters name and if it was still available. Someone told me who took picture, and it's name. Completely forget name of photographer name was New York(?) Went looking for my question and could not find it. It was under heading:Any old hippie around. At the time searched photographer and name of poster and got no hits. If you had one in mint condition it would be worth a fortune. With luck that person will give you the exact information your looking for.

When did people started using flowers to show love/affection for their gf/bf or even loved ones?
I don't know but they are appropriate for funerals and have the same meaning of love as a 99 cent hallmark card,it's all superficial meaningless crap,
the only way flowers are special is if the person picked out the flowers for a unique arrangement not the ones for two bucks on the corner, and they are given for absolutely no other reason than to show appreciation or affection meaning not on a holiday ,birthday or after a fight
When did people started using flowers to show love/affection for their gf/bf or even loved ones?
Prehistorically during spring observances.
Reply:The oldest possible evidence of flowers used in a human ritual is in Shanidar cave in Iraq. The Shanadir IV burial site of about 60000 BC has turned up flower pollen which shows that flowers were present.
Reply:I don't know. Maybe like really early in time becuase of their beauty, and probably a lot during the time when the Victorian "Language of Flowers" was created.

Best Flower Preservation?
Flower Preservation
Vacuum freezedrying show antique look?
What is newest and best techonolgy to preserve flowers?
Best Flower Preservation?
It depends on the flower. Roses do best with air drying. Flowers like Pansies and daisies do best pressed. Carnations and mums don't dry well under any circumstances.

Plus if it was a serious relationship; little things like cook a meal for them. Maybe take interest in something they love even if it's not that appealing to me.
Reply:listen to them, and it is just another thing in which what flirting is for! sometimes guys just dont notice
Reply:Well obviously make it clear that you love him, starting with just verbally saying it. But I also write him notes that probably don't make any sense because it's me rambling on about how much I love him, but I know he loves those. I do really cliche stuff like make him a cd with some of my favorite songs and write out the meanings behind why i put them on. I make him know that I am always thinking about him when I'm not with him. I brag about him to people and then tell him about it (ego boost lol). And really anything else that shows the appreciation....and since I'm in highschool I decorated his car with tons of hearts and hersheys kisses.
Reply:BE CARING..
Reply:One answer i see commonly popping is just saying "i love you" and its true. We also try to be near that special person a lot. Just trying to hold their hand or snuggling up to them is a sign of affection. And on occasions maybe we'll buy them something or even cook something, just to show how much we love them.

You know what my Mary's gone and done now, she's only gone and spent 60 quid on 2 tickets for the Shrewsbury
Flower Show.UK. that's a week down the pub for me, I'll have to miss a darts match now. Mind you them Poles are getting a bit noisy, we call 'em beetroot pluckers. Anyway it means I've got to miss my mates for a week, and traipse round Shrewsbury gawping at flipping flowers in the summer. If her mother spoke to me I would tell her I would, really.

Not you again Wat, it's that Shropshire air gets you all going I bet. Has Mary your ever done anything right ? You were moaning the other day she had done the garden wrong!!. I bet she cleans the car and the house and still changes the nappies of your six yr old son, Piers!
What about if Mary has saved her money from part time beetroot plucking with the eastern Europeans, think about it. Leave Mary alone and stop whinging.
If it gets unbearable, you can always jump off the Welsh Bridge

Does anyone know how to get a picture of a mythical flower but the name of ambrosia?
it is a type of flower that looks like the leaves are made out of jelly, I have seen it only once in a TV show.
Does anyone know how to get a picture of a mythical flower but the name of ambrosia?
It was interesting to read (thanks to you) that:
"Many modern scholars, including Danny Staples, relate ambrosia to the hallucinogenic mushroom Amanita muscaria."
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ambrosia
Until know, I knew only that Vikings used such mushrooms.
Good photo at http://www.everyherbal.com/pic1/amanita_...
I am also surprised that this very toxic mushroom is freely marketed in Internet.

My honeysuckle has never flowered - It is planted on a west facing fence and has been watered in dry periods.?
It was purchased at Hampton Court Flower Show five years ago, and was chosen for its strong fragrance - sorry but the variety is unknown.
Any ideas?
My honeysuckle has never flowered - It is planted on a west facing fence and has been watered in dry periods.?
Lonicera (honeysuckle)
Needs ordinary to rich well drained soil and full sun to partial shade. Prune by thinning out after flowering only. should flower on last years wood, probably the reason for not flowering.
Please email me with any more info on your honeysuckle.
Reply:All I can suggest is feeding it well - perhaps it's hungry - and perhaps improving the soil around its base. If it's any consolation, my honeysuckle only had about 6 flowers on it this year (although it is only 3 years old) - maybe they need time to establish themselves properly.
Reply:Make sure the ground has proper nutrients and not alot of weeds. They do like alot of sun too.

For a model, I need to make a full flower, a hald flower, and a leaf. How should I present this?
Ok... we were supposed to do the flower things, make a leaf, and a stem, but mine has a stem, and then a stemlet thing off the main stem, and a ton of leaves off that stem. do you think it would be alright if i just showed one leaf and the stem coming off the flower and didn't connect them, and how should i present this to get the best grade. BTW, my flower is a trumpet flower. It's basically like a big red hunnysuckle. This grade is pretty important to my science grade, because I can't get less than a "C" on mid-quarter. Thank you! Oh yah, long answers are cool, if you have lots of tips, but I need as many as possible, and try to get my favorite answer. I'll select favorites after I get my grades. Oh, and I need them fast, cuz my model is due tomorow. PS: I also have to label all the parts of the flower (ex: stamen, anther...) And if you're just answering this for points, go ahead, but please tell me so if it's just some weird thing. Actually, just tell me you needed points. THNX!!!!!
For a model, I need to make a full flower, a hald flower, and a leaf. How should I present this?
Use a PVC pipe for the main stem, maybe some PVC rods for the stemlet, cover it with aluminium foil or colored paper to make it look rough. add card board for leaves and probably you can use styrofoam for the flower head + cardboard for the petals.
edit: I didn't know what a trumpet flower was but I just saw a picture. probably for the flower itself, you could use a PET bottle (like those 600ml or 1.5L coke/pepsi bottles) cut the bottom off and fold some triangular parts up alittle to look like the petals.

Can I return vases to a flower shop?
I have over a dozen of those basic glass flower vases just collecting dust in my basement. I don't want to throw them out - and I figure the local flower shop could re-use them...
Or will they look at me like I have two heads when I show up with a trunk full of vases to give to them?
Can I return vases to a flower shop?
Hey recycling is recycling! if that store doesn't accept go on to the next one!..
haha btw you can also use them as gifts for people!
hahaaha just thought it be funny.

Why doesn't the little yellow flower in the right corner on the envelope, of my inmail box show up anymore?
Because the email is not "in transit" or it does not remember it as being a new message. You see, just like anything else, the system that detects new or unread messages is still imperfect, thus allowing for occasions in which you are not notified of new emails. However, you might want to make sure you have new emails activated as one of your "alerts."
On the show, Max and Ruby, does Max have an autism spectrum disorder?
On the show, "Max and Ruby," Max is a 3 year old rabbit who is cared for by his 7 year old sister. (It is suspected that his parents were eaten by the same snake that killed Flower on Meerkat Manor.)
I noticed that Max's vocabulary seems to be very limited. Is this because he has a mild form of autism? Could it be because he has limited exposure to the English language? I imagine that his sister, understandably, is ill-equipped to socialize him properly.

it is a cartoon.

Reply:And chill. Max is 3. Report It
Reply:I stopped letting my kids watch it when I realized that the 7 year old was the primary care giver, and the grandmother was the only adult contact they had but she lived in a different house. Seven year olds, no matter how mature, are not equipped to baby sit a child alone. The fact that a 4 year old doesnt speak well is a matter that needs attention. FWIT when my 4 yr old only parroted, he was diagnosed with autsm.
Reply:I have never seen that show but my brother has autism and I can't imagine him watching that show and not wanting to stay by himself with just one of my younger siblings.
Yeah, I am glad he does not watch that show.

Have you ever been to a wedding where the flower girl didn't steal the show?
the wee one at ours yesterday was so funny
Have you ever been to a wedding where the flower girl didn't steal the show?
round here they steal the hub caps
Reply:I was at one where the flower girl threw a strop because she wanted to marry the groom!
Reply:It's so long since I've been to a wedding that I can't remember!
Reply:awwww they are sooo cute all dressed up and acting all cute...lol
Reply:No. I think that is why they began to add the second flower lass to the festivities. Sometimes things get really crazy with two.

What kind of Walt Disney World sovenier should I buy?
I want to buy maybe a plush sovenier or maybe something that is Mickey Mouse related but I am also looking at purchasing other Disney characters besides Mickey Mouse. I am also going to Epcot (Orlando, FL) during the opening of the flower show. Any other Disney sovenier suggestions in any categories are welcome too, thanks!
What kind of Walt Disney World sovenier should I buy?
The Figment plush character (from EPCOT) is very nice. I have magnets from all over Disney World, including parks %26amp; resorts, stuck to my fridge so I can see them every day.
Reply:We always get: a frame able poster, a Christmas ornament, key chain and snow globe. Just for ideas.
Reply:Buy a really cool Mickey Mouse shirt, but not at Disney. Go to I-Drive and buy the knockoff kind, 3 for $10.
Put it on and then go clubbing with the locals in downtown Orlando.
Reply:My favorite thing to buy is music. I love to listen to all of the park music when I return home!! Especially the fireworks soundtracks!!
Reply:This is just a personal opinion but it can apply to you too. If you buy a stuffed animal, it's just going to be thrown on the shelf after a while and you might end up selling it (personal experience). I collect pins (I have around 50 Disney Pins). There is always a huge abundance of them, and you can trade them at all Disney Parks every time you go. (FYI employees must trade if you want to trade with them, so bring pins! :) ). You might have seen the pin trading booths in the parks if you have visited, and there is always a huge amount of pins. With pins, they aren't forgotten and you can trade them if you don't like them! Just personal opinion. Enjoy your vacation!

How to add the outline of a drawing on top of text without covering text?
I want to type a poem and have an outline of a flower show through the text. Thanks
How to add the outline of a drawing on top of text without covering text?
your question is not clear, hopefully by doing the exercise below that you will have an understand of how it could be done. then you will have to make adjustment to the way you want it.
text over image or pattern can be distracting. i think you have to pay attention on color and contrast. i assumed you know how to do this in an image editor program, such as Photoshop.
1. use bold and solid text in first layer, note that this will be an image of text (jpg format).
2. have your outline of a drawing ready, i think monochrome will work best in here. put this in second layer.
3. select the first layer by choosing 'Select layer transparency' and then go to the put down menu %26lt;Select / Inverse%26gt;.
4. using your key board to finish this step, %26lt;Ctrl + v %26gt;, to cut the selected image.
now you have your first layer with the text-cut-out and opaque back ground, and your second layer with your flower image. you will be able to move your flower image to a desire position where it will be most readable through the text.
there are more than one way to do this, depends on how you want it. using the same idea of 'Select layer transparency' and 'Copy'. you could try selecting the layer transparency of the text in the text layer. go to the second layer of the flower image, and perform 'Copy' action. create a 'New Layer', this will be your third layer. paste the copied image onto this layer. hide the first and second layer. when only showing the third layer, now that you will see a layer with imaged text.
Reply:If this is done in photoshop you can take the line art and turn down the occupancy so it's actually a light grey.
Or maybe you can draw it lightly with a pencil or try water colors if the poem is written in waterproof ink
Reply:sounds complicated, may require an editor with use of layers, ~either try opening image, then create new layer with text over top and blend with transparency,
~or use capital bold text with outline option and allow flower image to show through text only,
~or use text as an watermark with use of filters like emboss and outlines and other effects,
..

There aren't any "symbols" in Sanskrit. Did you mean to ask how to write Padma in Devanagari?

Neighbours (TV show): Did they ever find Connor (the Irish man) buried in Paul Robinson's flower bed?
I've recently started watching Neighbours again because they are improving the story lines and getting some good characters, but I didn't see if they ever found Connor who I think was murdered by Paul Robinson's son. If he hasn't been found, does anyone know when they are going to tie up this story? It's really gruesome...
Neighbours (TV show): Did they ever find Connor (the Irish man) buried in Paul Robinson's flower bed?
I am sooooooooooo gald you asked this! (unfortunatly I don't have the answer - sorry!) But I recently see a repeat on Uk Gold where Cameron (or Robert - that storyline confused the noodles out of me) killed Conner and I was wondering if they ever found him.
I remember Toadie being on the case and accusing cameron/robert of killing him, but not sure if they ever got to the bottom of it - or the flower bed for that matter. (Didn't even know he buried him in the flower bed, shows you how much attention I pay. I thought he drove him somewhere in the back of his truck.
Reply:omg ya!!! i totally forgot about conor!! and i really loved him.....i duno...i bose they may make it evovle around paul and he wil blame himself cos of his memory loss he might think he killed him!! and do u no wat is after happening with d scullys?? y is steph they only one of them arrond?
Reply:yeh.

Reply:no he was not in the flower bed but he was found to be in india i think
